The third Liberal Arts Scholarship and Technology Summit held August 16-17, 2012, focused on the Digital Humanities. We had a very good turnout and discussion that illustrates how far we have come in cultivating a community of scholarly interest in the digital humanities at Penn State.
LASTS is a collaborative endeavor between the College of the Liberal Arts and the University Libraries. This year we had a half day pre-conference workshop on Digital Humanities hosted and facilitated by the University Libraries. Dawn Childress has written a blog post about the pre-conference that illustrates the breadth and diversity of the conversation.
We live streamed the event and have captured the video of the stream and added video of all the presentations to the playlist you can find by following this link.
If you are interested in joining the growing community of scholars at Penn State interested in the Digital Humanities, we invite you to join our Digital Humanities Interest Group. Contact Chris Long (longc at psu.edu) or Dawn Childress (cdc17 at psu.edu) if you would like to learn more.
