Course materials: The required book for this class is Laurie Garrett’s The Coming Plague (1995 edition)(this is not an endorsement for Amazon, it is to help you purchase the correct edition). It will not be available in the campus bookstore with all your other course books. Since it’s a not a textbook, it is available from other sellers, perhaps at a lower cost. There will be additional required readings and multimedia that are not in the book; those materials will be available here at no cost. You will need to be on campus or logged in to your psu account to access some materials.

You will also be assigned some short videos to watch for this course. Most of these are available on the Penn State Center for Infectious Disease Dynamics YouTube channel.

Course materials will be updated constantly, so check this site often and pay attention in class.
