If you are not familiar with the OLC Quality Scorecard for Blended Learning Programs, it would be worth your time to visit https://onlinelearningconsortium.org/consult/olc-quality-scorecard-blended-learning-programs/
The scorecard focuses on evaluating blended learning programs but can also be used as a resource for planning a new program. It provides metrics for instructional support, technology support, course development, instructional design, course structure, teaching and learning, faculty support, student support and evaluation and assessment.
In a recent workshop, I had the opportunity to use the scorecard to evaluate a blended program in my unit. Given the complexity of Penn State, there were many ways to view the scorecard with respect to my program. My responses could easily vary based on the lens with which I viewed it – institutional, departmental, program-level, and in many cases, these overlapped.
The tool and the accompanying handbook provide the common language needed to have conversations to improve your blended program and to determine where you may have control or influence.
