Rollerskating Hockey ♦

Next up on the bucket list blog! This wasn’t technically on my bucket list, it was just something fun a couple friends and I ended up doing. My boyfriend and his roommate play hockey and have some hockey sticks with them on campus, and his roommate also brought his roller blades and ice skates back to campus. We and two other friends went to one of the parking lots on campus and the boys played street hockey just by passing the puck back and forth while the girls took turns on using the roller blade. We would occasionally pass the puck too, but we mainly just used the roller blades to skate around. It was a lot of fun to just skate around and be with my friends. We played music, made jokes, passed the puck back and forth, skated away and tried to scare one another, and rollerbladed up and down the parking lots.

It was a lot of fun and we shared so much laughter. We did this a few times, but the most recent time was so much more fun for some reason. Maybe it was because it was like a winter wonderland around us surrounded by all the snow, but regardless of what caused it to be more fun, it was a bit chilly outside!

I remember one time we did this last semester, and we were doing it by the Arboretum parking area, and the music got too loud, so the campus police came to us. They were really nice and just told us to lower the music because it was too loud through the speakers, but when they first approached us I fully screamed, like a short, high pitched, not super loud scream, but I screamed because they literally came out of no where, it was dark, and it scared me lol! But since then we have been careful to not make the music too loud haha!

It wasn’t much, but sometimes just spending some quality time, making memories, being a little active and exercising, and being outside in some fresh air is all that you need to have a good time!
