The world is witnessing the importance of Social Robots and advocating its more prominent than ever.

How social robots can be part of our life, to enrich our life experience, to assist, serve and entertain us? Where should the new generation of such social robots be heading and what should be the innovative societal applications.

How do we see greater involvement of such friendly robots in education, healthcare, and other sectors?

How social robots can support us in the Covid-19 and in the post Covid era?

Have a solid idea/working prototype, send your entries to flagship ICSR 2020 Robot Design Competition. Whatever your background or experience is, this competition is a great way to present your work to an international multidisciplinary R&D community as well as representatives from robotics and AI companies, and get their valuable feedback, and above all get recognized.

Submission

The ICSR 2020 robot design competition welcomes applicants from any background. Each submission should have a (maximum) 2 page summary including a concise abstract/synopsis of a maximum of 50 words. Additionally a single link of related video be included (maximum duration of the video is 3 minutes). Competition chairs, with the help from experts and reviewers, will select the finalists.

ICSR this year will be held virtually. Each finalist is supposed to present their entry at a dedicated session in the conference, which will be evaluated by the Jury of peers. Finalists will also get the opportunity to virtually exhibit during the conference (optional). Prizes

This year, cash prizes and certificates will be awarded in the following categories:

    • Innovation in software, applications and interaction modalities
    • Innovation in hardware, design and interfaces
    • Covid 19 innovative response (this is a special category, depending upon the kind and number of entries. )

All the submissions will be considered for both the categories. For Covid 19 innovative response, authors are required to indicate in their entry the relevance with this category.
