Deepening understanding of the socio-institutional dimensions of ecosystem restoration
This research focuses on the Forest (and) Landscape Restoration paradigm and explores challenges to and solutions for integrated governance of restoration of lands, trees, and forests at the landscape scale in sub-Sahara African contexts. It will investigate relevant institutional arrangements that support integrated landscape governance of restoration initiatives, considered as ecosystem-based natural climate solutions. This is research work is sponsored by College of Earth and Mineral Sciences, Penn State, including under the E. Willard and Ruby S. Miller Faculty Fellow Award 2024-2029. $50k.
