Bárbara Venegas

Barbara cover photoBárbara Venegas graduated with a PhD in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering in Summer 2018. While at Penn State, she was a Fulbright scholar whose main research interests were in supply chain engineering and logistics as part of the Service Engineering & Applied Optimization Lab. She also worked in healthcare applications and financial engineering projects.

Bárbara earned her BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Universidad de La Frontera in Temuco, Chile. During her undergrad years she did research in artificial intelligence and mathematical modeling applied to logistics, supply chain management, and bioinformatics. More…

Connor Jennings

Connor cover photoConnor Jennings graduated with a PhD in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering at in Fall 2018. While at Penn State, he worked in the Smart Design and Manufacturing Systems Lab and The NSF Center for e-Design. He work focused on data mining and its application in predicting when products will become obsolete and monitoring systems to forecast failures.

Connor received his B.S. in industrial and manufacturing engineering, B.S. in economics and M.S. in industrial engineering from Iowa State University. More…

 

Yifei Wu

Yifei Wu graduated with an MS in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University in Spring 2018. While at Penn State, his field of interest was in Human Factors, with a focus on cognitive engineering work and petri net utilization. He worked on modeling teamwork using petri net.

Yifei graduated from Penn State in 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering.

Pooja Bhole

Pooja Bhole graduated with an MS in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University in Spring 2018. Her fields of interest are supply chain engineering, process improvement and analytics, with a special focus in the field of healthcare. She will soon start working as a Process Improvement Intern at Quest Diagnostics, Pittsburgh with majority of her work being focused on work layout labeling, auditing and optimization conforming to specific quality standards using Six Sigma techniques and lean principles. More…

Dika Handayani
Dika HandayaniDika Handayani graduated with her PhD in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University in Spring 2017. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in manufacturing from Cal Poly Pomona. Due to her research interest in manufacturing processes, such casting and machining, she is currently working on the machinability study of Austempered Ductile Iron. In addition to her research, Dika also had the opportunity to continue her passion in teaching by working as a teaching assistant for IE 311 course in Fall 2015 and an instructor for the same course in Spring and Summer 2016.

Eric Swenson
EricLieutenant Colonel Eric Swenson is a United States Army officer and graduated with a PhD in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University in Spring 2017.  He earned a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering from the United States Military Academy, a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Penn State and a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College.  Eric has served in the Army Corps of Engineers since 1998.  His research interests involve the application of industrial engineering methods to healthcare.
