Consulting

CIE can provide consultation, support, and participation for grant proposals that integrates immersive technologies or addresses questions related to the discipline.

The Center for Immersive Experiences provides developers and graduate students with the required skills to include in your proposal’s facilities statement. By coming together as a community, we can leverage knowledge and skills that go far beyond that of an individual.

Grant Applications

The Center for Immersive Experiences (CIE) at Penn State offers grants to support transdisciplinary research, diverse educational activities, and high-profile outreach efforts. Proposal that address core questions of immersive technologies such as augmented and virtual reality or how immersive technologies can facilitate or enable research, education, and outreach are considered.

Eligibility

CIE grant applications may be submitted by any full-time Penn State faculty member.

Grant Opportunities

CIE currently offers two different grant and development opportunities:

Development projects

Development projects are established in direct consultation with CIE faculty and staff as the result of initial meetings. Meetings with Center faculty and staff can be scheduled at any time throughout the year. Development projects are considered springboards for seeking extramural funding opportunities; although, depending on resources, we aim to support a variety of projects. Development projects have a duration of up to one year and depending on the scope and focus, faculty members could become CIE Faculty Fellows.
