Teaching and Learning with Technology Impact Award
About the Award
The Teaching and Learning with Technology Impact Award celebrates the accomplishments of faculty members whose work transforms education through the use of technology. This award is given in recognition of excellence represented by a single contribution or a series of contributions over time. Examples of enhancement include the development of projects, courses, collaborations, or scholarship that explore innovative uses of technology that have the potential to significantly improve teaching, learning, learning spaces, and scholarship at Penn State and beyond. Of particular interest are the creation of original approaches or outcomes that have implications beyond one specific academic area.
1. To acknowledge and celebrate faculty whose work has significantly enhanced teaching and learning in higher education.
2. To raise the awareness of exemplary faculty efforts in teaching and learning that result in uses of technology that have the potential to significantly improve teaching, learning, and scholarship at Penn State and beyond.
3. To enhance the impact of teaching and learning with technology across Penn State by encouraging innovation.
4. To improve the quality of, access to, and scholarship of teaching and learning with technology.
The call for nominations is now closed.
Honorees will receive a commemorative medal and an award of $3,000. Honorees will also be invited to serve as an ambassador for Teaching and Learning with Technology, a central unit dedicated to supporting teaching, learning, and research across the university. With TLT’s support, the honoree will receive support to further the impact of their work, including the encouragement to share their work broadly across the University. The winner will be announced at the annual Penn State Symposium for Teaching and Learning with Technology to be held on Saturday, March 21, 2020.
