Canvas – Penn State’s Learning Management System

Zoom – Penn State is currently in a pilot program using this web conferencing tool

Turnitin – a web-based writing assessment tool

Yammer – collaborative environment for team-based projects   To use Yammer for a class, create a private network.

Box – cloud-based content storage, file sharing and collaborative editing

Qualtrix – a full-featured survey tool

WebApps – you get access to cloud-based applications that you might not have available on your own computer.

WebFiles at Penn State – access both your PASS storage space and your U: drive from any Internet-connected computer.  If you didn’t know, your PASS storage space gives you up to 10GB of cloud-based storage.  Another way to access your PASS space is is at PASS Explorer, but you don’t have the drag-and-drop functionality that’s available with WebFiles.  For more information on PASS storage, see this IT Knowledge Base article.

Clickers at Penn State – use iClickers student response system to gauge student knowledge and provide instant feedback

lynda.com at Penn State – video tutorials on a huge selection of applications and products

e-portfolios  Portfolios at Penn State – use Sites@Penn State or Canvas to create e-Portfolios

WordPress Sites at Penn State – create your own WordPress-powered blog or website

voicethread VoiceThread – use VoiceThread for visual and audio collaboration , posting materials, commenting and sharing

WikiSpaces – create a WIki for collaboration
