I will be giving a talk this summer at APS, looks like it should be a great meeting!
Gene Thompson, a former Acting Division Director for the Michigan Department of Agriculture, died in July 1997. In his memory, Sigurd and Sheila Nelson, close friends who knew Gene from his student days, have established a recruiting fellowship in support of an entomology student in applied entomology with an outstanding academic record.

Elizabeth, currently finishing her studies at Cornell, will be starting this Fall as a graduate student studying above-belowground interactions!
