As a result of my dad’s profession as an Army JAG, I was able to live in many towns in Germany and travel to many different countries. The place that allowed for the most traveling experiences and fun memories by far had to be Wiesbaden [as shown above]. While in Wiesbaden, I was able to go on field trips to Paris, France and go on birthday vacations to Milan, Italy. Between the opportunity to ski in the Alps and the many adventures to islands like Malta and the Canary Islands, living abroad gave me so many opportunities that I will be forever grateful for. Not only was I able to visit amazing places and experience their cultures and traditions, but I also met fun people. Every new location meant making new friends that to this day have lasted. Kasia from Poland. Salome from France. Even Heinrich from Germany. Living abroad kickstarted my love for traveling and my desire to be a “vacationer4L” since it opened a new world of possibilities for me to experience.
