The concept of “traveling” doesn’t necessarily have to transcend national borders. In my experience, the best adventures can happen when visiting places in one’s country of residence. Although the majority of my past travels have been in European and South American countries, my favorite part of being a “vacationer4L” is getting to not only explore the fun cities and towns in the US, but also its flora and fauna. During the summer of 2022, my immediate family and I went to Cape Cod, Massachusetts. While there, I was able to participate in an activity that I had been dying to do for years; see a Great White Shark in-person. My family and I went on a Shark-Spotting tour and that is where I was able to take a picture of the juvenile Great White pictured above.  Traveling doesn’t always have to entail participating in activities that are centered around human civilization. The magical aspect of vacationing to diverse spots is that each and every new area will provide any vacationers with sightings and experiences that they will never forget. For me, spotting this shark is a memory that I will cherish forever and a crucial part of my desire to continue being a “vacationer4L”.
