  1. Since I definitely agree that vitamins and mineral are important for our health, this new technology, Vitastiq, will give a huge impact to both human being and society. This gives a lot of benefits such as taking care of the health without professional doctor’s subscription, measuring the body’s statistics easily, using friendly application, etc. According to the video, it looks cool that we can measure with its function of scanning skin with the pen to figure out whether we have enough vitamin and mineral. Some people might say that it will give a negative effect that would steal works of doctors. However, checking vitamin and mineral is trivial work for doctors, and it is waste of time to see doctors just for this. Therefore, this will be good for both doctors and patients. I think this is not a perfect invention for now. Hopefully, this invention should be improved and be seen in the near future.

  2. This is a great connection between medicine and technology, where this device will truly improve our society through helping people make smarter life choices. Our society will be more acceptive of these small smart devices because they are invented in order to help us become better. Inventing more of these smart devices and connecting them to our daily lives will ultimately make our society a better plan for our future generations.

Vitastiq is considered a smart technology because it integrates traditional acupuncture knowledge with advanced technology to build a product that will help people monitor their health easier, and smarter. In the current century, everyone is trying to invent smart technologies, and what smart technologies means is having a product that will improve ordinary people’s lives, as well as allowing our advanced technologies to better assist us in making our lives more efficient.

I believe that Vitastiq is a great product in that it helps people of all ages to better learn how to monitor their health in an easy and fast way. As a result, people can save thousands of dollars going to doctors and get a blood test, when you have Vitastiq do the job for you that is painless, and cheap. This smart device is extremely helpful towards elderly’s because they can use this device to help monitor their vitamin levels, blood levels, and more. Ultimately, older folks will not need to make a trip to the hospital just for a blood test, they can save their efforts on just make a quick test at home. What Vitastiq brings to people isn’t just easy accessibility, but its connecting technology with people’s health.

In conclusion, I believe that this is a great invention, and its market is huge, in that they can target whoever they want. The only draw back, is accuracy, and safeness. I believe that as people become more exposed to these technologies, everyone will become more aware of how technology can assist us in more way other than with calling and texting. This is the 21 century, and we will be seeing more creative product just like Vitastiq in the near future.

  3. Whenever I go to the doctors for a physical, they always run these tests on me and find that I am lacking in some sort of vitamin. What this pen can do is take away from that time wasted with those tests and get me in and out of the doctors faster than ever. People can check their vitamin levels right from there home, and if they are a little low in lets say vitamin C, then they can go to the store and buy some or just drink some more orange juice. This pen can really change the medical world despite how little it really is.
A lot of the time, people do not know what vitamins or minerals they really need and take a whole bunch of different ones. Vitastiq can change that. People can now get the information that they need and what vitamins and minerals they should be focused on taking. Also, the fact that it works as an application on a smartphone means you can take it anywhere. Check this article out regarding the Vitastiq as it adds to what you were saying in your original post, http://www.psfk.com/2015/01/vitastiq-device-vitamin-minerals-smartphone.html.

  4. An invention like Vitastiq is very useful and convenient tool. There are number of excuses that we do not get health check-ups daily basis. Young people say they are too healthy to need a doctor. Some are scared something might actually be wrong with them or just too busy. In any spare time, Vitastiq allows people to do the check-ups at home, so people should no longer have any excuse of avoiding their health status check.

Health check-ups, in fact, are really important according to many research. By having regular check-ups, we can capture a picture of our health over time and notice any changes that might require further attention. Let’s say if it is shown in Vitastiq that you are lack of vitamin A, you take vitamin A pills for several days and get better. It becomes very simple to keep our health on point.

Considering its usability perspective, it seems even greater invention. It is very user friendly that only few steps are required to see the result. Because of its simple step, it is definitely easy to learn and remember. Unlike seeing doctor for the check-ups, this tool efficiently shows the result right at the instant. Hopefully there is not any error in the result. In the end, the users would be very satisfied with the product.

  5. I think this device is going to be a huge hit once everything is sorted out tech-wise and such. This device is the first of its kind and I believe a lot of people will be interested in having one of their own.
While many people have FitBits and such, but these can replace or aid in check ups or physical exams. For example, I know I only have ONE physical done a year and that usually counts as my only visit to the doctor unless I am really sick. With this device, I would be able to monitor my vitamin levels along with many other things while I am away at school and not near my doctors office for a check up visit.
Also, my grandmother doesn’t like going to the doctors and she lives alone, and she takes a lot of different vitamins, but with the Vitastiq, she would be able to monitor her mineral and vitamin intake without us having to bug her about going to the doctors or anything.
In doing some further research, I also learned that many people do not know that their bodies are suffering from a vitamin deficiency because there are few warning signs or symptoms, so the Vitastiq could help people see if they do and they can change by taking another vitamin supplement or something without having to pay a copay or deductible at the doctors office.

  6. This innovation of device is really cool, and very useful to everyone. Especially to the elders, and the people who busy with their work and have no to do physical examination. I am interested in this technology, so I have did some extra search. Vitastiq is an innovative device that provides a personalized way of measuring vitamins and minerals through your smartphone. Designed to give timely insight and more control into the status of vitamin and mineral levels, the device was created as a status check that works with smartphones to reveal vitamin and mineral levels instantaneously.

Very often, people don’t know what vitamins and minerals their bodies need. We attribute our degrees of feelings, emotions, moods and physical activity levels to fate, neglecting some of the most important elements that might be controlling them. Symptoms of deficiencies are often detected after the symptoms are already present.

Combining centuries-old acupuncture knowledge with technology, the device uses an electro-acupuncture method that measures the electrical conductance at acupuncture points and determines the user’s vitamin and mineral levels. The measuring pen is a noninvasive and painless method.

Users connect Vitastiq device to their smartphones, launch the application and start measuring. It’s that simple. Plugging the pen into the phone and hitting the start button allows Vitastiq to calibrate a reference point on users’ fingers which measures vitamins and minerals, like Biotin, Vitamin C, Magnesium, Vitamin B12, and presents users with a summary report of what might be deficient in their vitamin and mineral levels.

  7. The Vitastiq seems like it could be a very useful tool for those looking to keep track of their vitamin and mineral intake on a daily basis. From the video it looks like the app give you step by step instructions on how to use the Vitastiq. As I was unsure of how this device actually works I looked further into the technology behind the Vitastiq. I found that the Vitastiq uses a technology called an EAV (Electro-Acupuncture according to Voll) to measure the amount of vitamins and minerals. After looking further into how an EAV works I am skeptical as to how it can be used to determine vitamin an mineral levels. EAV’s function by indirectly measuring the “Energetic System” through the use of electricity. The nature of how the electricity flows trough a Meridian is directly related to the health of that Meridian(Meridians according to acupuncture, are the paths through which life-energy flows and are connected to certain organs and internal structures.). The science behind this device is not widely supported though it seems to be gaining some acceptance as more studies are being conducted. I f the science behind the Vitastiq truly does work purchasing one for personal use could prove very useful especially for those prone to certain vitamin or mineral deficiencies.

  8. I think this is really cool but also very needed. For example I think we all have elders in our family that in some shape or form have to look at their intake of food for health reasons. With that being said I think that Vitastiq is very helpful be no longer do you have to wait until your next doctors appointment to know what it is that your diet is lacking.

Also looking after watching the video I love the interface. It is extremely easy to figure out and I love the hand that shows you where exactly you have to go with the pen. I like that the readings show exactly where you should be and if where you are at if you are under the recommended amount.

My only curiosity is where this is going. I believe that this could go so much further then just calculating your vitamin count. I would really like if this did heart rate as well as blood pressure. I only say this because with elderly people it would be a nice add on and they could get all of their very important readings with in one interface and without having to go to the doctors all the time.

All in all however I think that this is very cool. I am very intrigued to see where this goes in the medical field. Also I am curious to see if they will connect this with certified and licensed physicians so a community could be built via the app. Through that community maybe physicians can chime in with recommendations for what someone should do if it is noticed that you vitamin c and you biotin is low. Either way this is a very cool and interesting find!
