How Microsoft wants to dominate VR

Last Wednesday the new Surface Studio might be one of the most amazing things on the Microsoft show. Instead of focusing on its wonderful performance and appearance, we could turn our attention to how Microsoft wants to dominate the markets in VR and augmented reality, which are considered the future of computing.

Microsoft will have an update on Windows 10 giving our PCs ability to work with a VR headset. And the VR headsets are relatively very inexpensive, and they are able to support free range of motion using no external camera tracking the user. Although the headsets may not be able to compete with Oculus Rift on display quality, they can be more accessible and capable. Oculus Rift and HTC Vive now requires very powerful PCs, but the headsets can run on any computer with a Windows 10 system. This is a huge advantage since VR is still not so accessible to lots of people.

Microsoft will suddenly strengthen its competitiveness in the market of VR. It would win by its affordability and accessibility.
