As a juggernaut in in the home party game and competitive Esports scene, Nintendo’s Super Smash Brothers Ultimate comes in as the fifth installment in the franchise on the Nintendo Switch. Involving everyone’s favorite Nintendo (and few third-party developer) characters duking it out in a fun “Brawl”, the franchise has had a massive impact in the gaming world from its release.

Described by the website Gamespot “Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is a comprehensive, considered, and charming package that builds on an already strong and enduring fighting system”.

Garnering up to $83,758 in a prize pool, the competitive scene of Smash 1 v 1, the preferred game of choice: Super Smash Bros. Melee released in 2001. Though with the release of Ultimate on Friday the 7th, it will be interesting to see if competitive gamers will move over to this new addition.
