Failure to Launch: “A Megaman who didn’t even reach Boy”

There have been many games that do not get released, but are clearly teased towards audiences.

One game, Megaman Legends 3, was a true disappointment to me.

Not only was a trailer presented, but the game had been teased many times..

Capcom’s reasoning behind the game not being developed was due to the small audience in the game. It’s a reasonable conclusion, since this would affect sales.

However, the fanbase was in an uproar and managed to collect over 100,000  fans pushing Capcom to publish the game.

Considering there are many sites such as Indiegogo, and kickstarter, you would think that this game would receive at least funding, but Capcom has not considered starting up plans.

But after the release of a fan-made game “Street Fighter x Megaman” fully supported by Capcom, and the open community surveys for future games in their development schedule, it seems that the company is finally embracing its fanbase.

I truly believe that Capcom is starting to make the right decisions by trying to directly please its core audience.
