Presentation Order

The order for the presentations is below. We will definitely get through 1-5 on Friday, 3/20. WASD, Blue Lion, and Cool Guys should also be ready to present on Friday, 3/20. All remaining teams will present on Monday, 3/23.

1. Team: Lights Out     Game Name: Plexor

PleXOr is a variation on standard tic-tac-toe, which borrows heavily from Ultimate Tic-Tac-Toe. The change here is that inside each game square, there resides a smaller nine square game board. It tries to maintain some feature so that users could know before they actually play the game. The game will feature a few main game modes for players to engage in: local play, single player, and online multiplayer. The goal is to go beyond this class and to android game market. The idea is to keep game Unique, Simple, and Fun. Play mode: local play and multiplayer.

2. Team: Lion’s Pride   Game Name: Sling

It’s a 2D, stealth-Puzzle game. Using unity game engine.  Reminiscent of original metal gear games.  Control player character via dragging mouse. The player “slings” from one wall to the next to navigate perilous traps by exploiting timing and angles. They need to fulfill conditions such as unlocking doors or solving spatial puzzles. Design: simplistic and solid colors and shapes. levels are designed. The game is planed to designed as easy to do. hard to master. Enemies: variety of enemies/obstacles(static, dynamic). Containing AI.

3. Team: BioVision  Game Name: Locked In

Locked In is a 3-dimensional variant of your run of the mill ‘Escape the Room’ game mixed with a maze-like environment. platform: Unity3d & Sketchup.  Genre/audience: 1st person 3d model, Escape of Room Game. Level design: Sketchup design level and integrating into unity. Comparison: previous similar escape game is not so engaging because the user can only click.  Here user could walk around the room and try to find clue. features: Create your own story, Find the Key, Timer, Win Medals. Design: Varied amounts of time t complete levels. Non-diegetic user interface.

4. Team: J-Amp  Game Name: Adventure Quest

Adventure Quest is a 2-D adventure game set in a large fantasy world. Key features: Rewarding exploration. Require basic problem solving skills. Adventure Quest features multiple boss encounters in dungeons throughout the map. Story: defeat evil mage and several lieutenants. There are two classes that players can select to specialize in: the assassin and the mage.  Environment: divided into four zones. Hidden areas. Enemies: standard Mobs and Boss Enemies.

5. Team: Deerhead  Game Name: Redacted

Redacted is a top-down tower defense game:  Player Controlled character to support towers. Towers are buildable and upgradable . Various types: (1) single target-fast firing high DPS (2) damage over time (3) splash hits multiple enemies.  Require currency and time to upgrade tower.  Tower support:  like buff.  Enemies varies such as fast but fragile or slow but strong.  UI: lives, currency, wave number. Future feature: Level editor. Build and play custom levels.

6. Team: WASD  Game Name: T.U.T  Fighter

TUT Fighter is a top down 2D shooter that specializes in fast pace action and quick decision-making.. There are shields bar and health bar.  Game mode: (1) Multiplayer death match mode.  (2) Single Player Campaign Mode. There are Multiple challenging stages and bosses. Enemies: varying enemy movement and shot patterns. Could upgrade your ship at the end of each stage.  Future plans: single players survivor mode…

7. Team: Blue Lion   Game Name: RoboCorp

Robocorp is a multiplayer strategy game where two corporations fight for control over a planet.  The players mine three types of resources – gold, oil, and ore.  They can use these to build military robots to destroy the other player, or economic robots to mine enough gold to purchase control of the planet. The game takes place on a randomly generated map that makes each game new and interesting. The key feature is to make the game balance between winning with a military strategy or an economic strategy.

8. Team: Cool Guys Studio  Game Name: Diamond days

Diamond Days: Platform: 2D PSP. Goal: Steal diamond. Theme: During the great Depression Era. Mechanics: puzzle solving and kill cops. Level design: at least 5-10 levels. movement system: basic run and jump. Special feature: player’s score and player’s shooting mechanics. Different Types of Enemies encountered. Use of different environmental obstacles. Obtaining high score. Goal: make fun,exciting.

9. Team: A-send     Game Name: Tiny Dwarf

Tiny dwarfs:  2D runing jumping game. Goal: go as far as we can and there are all kinds of things trying to stop you. levels: each level with different abilities and different mechanics . Abilities: Hovering, double jump, rolling and so on. Both horizontal and vertical mode. Scores: achieve a specific score and go to next level.  Future: Add more levels. more abilities and more monsters.  Enemies are not just chasing.

10. Team: Passiveyes  Game Name: Dungeon Crawl

Dungeon Crawl. Engine: unity 2D. Main game: Competitive generated procedural Dungeon Crawl game. Multiplayers games: beat your friends to the end of dungeon. How it works: find the exit, kill as many as monsters, Hidden treasure.  Score: simple scoring system based on time, health enemies defeated. Combat: press button, hit monsters. Mobile Controls: virtual D pad. Nodejs: Server will generate dungeon.

11. Team: Nameless Studio   Game Name: Adventurer Wanted

Adventurer wanted is dungeon crawling roguelike game, set deep in a forbidding cave.  key element: exploration. features:  (1) Randomly generated dungeons. (2) Limited resources. (3) Permadeath: once die, game over and need to start from beginning. (4) Combat mode. Mechanics:  Treasure hunt. Get from floor 1 to 5.  Don’t run out of health.  find treasure in the last floor.  Randomness will not be a major element.  Encourage look for items as well as exit.
