BIG NEWS!

CODE RED!! I have some very exciting news. I just found out that I’m going to Disney! YAY! I’m not positive when it will be, but we think it will be the first week in January. In honor of this news, I am going to talk about my ideal Disney trip in this post.

Let’s start with the resort. As you learned if you read my post about Disney resorts, my favorite resort is the Polynesian. I love the theming and the vibe. They also just rethemed the entire resort to look like it’s straight out of Moana, and I am dying to see it.

On my ideal trip, I would hit all four parks. This is how I would do it. I would start Day 1 in the Magic Kingdom and spend the entire day there. I would rope-drop Splash Mountain (this means getting to the park early and waiting in line for the rope to drop so you can run to the ride of your choice), and then head to its neighbor, Big Thunder Mountain. I would continue my day by eating snacks, riding rides, getting lunch at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe– my favorite quick service in MK– and then end the day by eating dinner at Be Our Guest and seeing the fireworks.

Now onto Day 2. Day 2 would start with breakfast at the Polynesian’s quick service, Capt. Cook’s. I would, of course, get Mickey Waffles and sausage to start my day. Then I would take the monorail to the Transportation and Ticket Center and change monorails there to go to Epcot. Once at Epcot, I would spend the day walking around World Showcase, which has all of the countries. I would try to ride Soarin’, my favorite ride in Epcot, before the fireworks start. I would get dinner at the San Angel Inn in the Mexico Pavilion and ride one of my favorite rides, the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros. I would then watch the new fireworks show, Harmonious, to end my day.

Day 3 is one of my favorites. I would get up early and head to Animal Kingdom by bus. I don’t love buses, but Disney buses hold a special place in my heart. Fun fact, one reason why I liked Penn State so much was because the buses reminded me of Disney buses and the campus reminded me of Disney. Anyway, once at Animal Kingdom, I would go straight to the Kilimanjaro Safari, which is a super cool ride where you drive around and see animals as if on an African safari. Then, I would go to Kali River Rapids. After that, I would head to Pandora and ride one of the coolest rides at Disney, Flights of Passage. Once done with that, I would probably walk around and see the animals and then head back to Epcot for the rest of the night. Walking around World Showcase at night is one of my favorite things to do.

The last day, Day 4, would be Hollywood Studios day. I would get up early to try to get a boarding pass in the virtual queue for Rise of the Resistance. Once I get there, I would head straight to my favorite Disney roller coaster, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. Then I would ride Tower of Terror and walk around Galaxy’s Edge while I wait to ride Rise of the Resistance. I would probably leave around lunch time and head back to the resort to go to the pool. Then after dinner, I would go back to Magic Kingdom and spend my last night in Disney riding all my favorite rides and watching the fireworks.

Just writing this post made me feel like I was in Disney for the day, and I hope it had the same effect on you! ‘Til next time!

  3. Wow, that’s awesome that you’re getting to go to Disney soon. I really like that around the world part of Epcot as well. I thought it was funny when you talked about liking Penn State because it reminded you of Disney. What are some of the similarities you see between the two?

  4. Ainsley! You are literally making me wish I was at Disney World right now! You have your entire time planed out to the last detail. I will have to say that I am in complete agreement with the schedule you put before our eyes. Ending the day with the pool and Magic Kingdom is the best and only way to go!
