Hello Disney fans!! Welcome back to your favorite blog! Jk… but maybe 😉 Anywhoooo today I’m going to tell you about one of my favorite things about Disney. When you stay at a Disney resort, there is Resort TV. As a kid, there was always this one lady named Stacey who would show you all her favorite things in Disney, called her must-dos. This became one of my family’s favorite things to watch. Sadly, Stacey is no longer on Resort TV, but I am going to continue her legacy by giving you my must-dos. In the words of Stacey, you must do the must-dos!
This video is exactly what I used to watch in the resort! If you skip to about 1:40, you’ll hear Stacey start to give some of her must-dos.

Number 1: Ride Splash Mountain
This is my favorite ride in all of Disney. The animatronics and the music and the theming and just everything work together perfectly to create the storyline as you ride along the water in the log. This ride also has amazing views of the Magic Kingdom. I may have mentioned this in a previous post, but one year I rode Splash Mountain during the fireworks and was able to see them perfectly over the castle while on the ride. This was definitely one of my favorite things to ever happen to me in Disney.
Number 2: Dine at Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue
This is one of my all-time favorite dining experiences on Disney property. Hoop-Dee-Doo is a dinner theater with a fantastic show. This is located on the grounds of Fort Wilderness, so the show has a western/pioneer theme. The musical numbers fit that theme and the delicious food (fried chicken, ribs, mashed potatoes, biscuits, etc.) comes out on metal plates and in metal buckets. My favorite dessert in Disney is also found here, the strawberry shortcake. They bring it out all at once on huge trays and just throw a slice in front of you. The cake is super moist with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. Mmm my mouth is water just talking about it! There is also audience participation in the show, so if you ever dreamed of being on the big stage, this one may be a must do for you!
Number 3: Walk Around World Showcase in Epcot
Epcot has this really cool part of the park called World Showcase. World Showcase has 11 countries that you can walk around and experience. Each of these countries have cast members who are actually from those places working there (unfortunately, this has changed with Covid, but hopefully will return one day). This truly makes for an authentic experience in any of the countries you visit. Each of these countries also has authentic food for you to try, and most of it is delicious! This past trip I took, I tried food from Morocco. I’m a pretty picky eater, so I didn’t expect to like it, but I did! It was so good! They each also have stores and shops from those nations with some authentic merchandise. For my 16th birthday, I went to Disney and got a French perfume with my name engraved on it. I still use it, and it is one of my favorite gifts ever. I could talk about World Showcase all day as it’s so amazing, so seriously, you should definitely go. (P.S. This video I added is from the ride Frozen Ever After in the Norway Pavilion!IMG_1689)
There are so many more things I could mention, but, for the sake of time, I’ll cap it at those three. If you can’t tell, Disney is my favorite place to be, so pretty much everything there could make this list, but these are my absolute must-dos. In the comments, tell me which one you’d like to try, or, if you’ve been to Disney, what a must-do for you is! Until next time!
Ainsley, you have once again made my day( night bright). For me, the “must do” is the avatar ride in Animal Kingdom! The graphics are amazing and just the walk up to the ride is spectacular! My favorite part is actually waiting in line and seeing the huge avatar floating in the water.
