Profile Page Editing

Introduction

Every employee of the Eberly College of Science has a profile page on science.psu.edu. This includes faculty, staff, postdocs, and graduate students. Existing profile pages have basic information pre-populated like name, title, address.

Each user can update their profile with information appropriate for the College website. This tutorial explains how to do this.

Step 1.

Log in to Web Access using this URL. https://science.psu.edu/user

Step 2.

Once logged in use the same URL as above to access your profile page. https://science.psu.edu/user. A page similar to the one below will appear

Step 3.

Select “Edit” and begin editing or adding information in the windows that appear.

Step 4.

Only one research “Interest” per text field. To add a new “Interest” select “Add another item”. Only the first three interests will show on the directory listing. There is a forty-character limit for the interest on the directory  listing.

Step 5.

If you want to add free form information about your research, your laboratory, list of publications, the functions you perform or anything else that someone visiting your profile page could benefit in knowing about you, scroll down to the section titled “Wysiwyg” and click on the plus sign (+) beside the acronym “WYSIWYG” which will open the window for you to begin typing or cutting and pasting text.

Step 6.

Images cannot be uploaded to the CMS at this time. We ask that you only add text in the “WYSIWYG” component and contact your department or office web editor to update your profile picture.

Step 7.

Click “Save” when you are finished updating your profile.

Step 8.

Select View to ensure that your profile appears the way you wanted it to appear.
