Dr. Lori J. Bechtel-Wherry, Chancellor and Dean
Chancellor and Dean Lori J. Bechtel-Wherry was one of twenty women from the region selected to receive a 2016 Women of Achievement award sponsored by Allegheny County District Attorney Stephen A. Zappala and Mrs. Mary Zappala. This award honors successful, prominent women based on excellence in their fields, significant contributions to the betterment of their communities, and outstanding accomplishments for the achievement of women. Bechtel-Wherry received her award for academic leadership and economic development.
Bechtel-Wherry received her award during the eleventh annual Women of Achievement dinner, “A Celebration of Women’s History Month,” March 3, at the Omni William Penn Hotel in Pittsburgh.
