1960s
J. William Hollobaugh ’66 and his wife, Linda, celebrated 50 years of marriage on June 1, 2018.
David M. Kass ’68 and wife Suzanne (Kisel) celebrated 52 years of marriage. They first met while studying at Penn State Altoona. After 49 years of living in Pennsylvania and New York City, the couple now resides in the Pacific Northwest region, near their son, Dave, and his wife, Xiaolu.
1970s
Steven Antenucci ’72 received the 2017 Fliehr Award, a lifetime achievement award for distinguished service to the Minnesota theatre community by the Minnesota Association of Community Theatres.
William Hoy ’75, vice president of design and construction at Shaner Hotel Group, was interviewed for an article in American Builders Quarterly, which showcased his work on the REHAU Montana Ecosmart House.
Fredina Ingold ’75 received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the WISE Women of Blair County, for Women Involved in Scholarship and Empowerment. She was recognized at a tribute dinner on April 18, 2018, at The Casino at Lakemont Park.
1980s
Brian Foster ’83 is owner of Picture Perfect Productions in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania. The business was selected as one of the Top 100 Master Mind Studios in the United States for innovation in combining photography and yearbook publishing under one business in 2017.
Jonathan M. Jacobs ’85 has been named editor of the Parliamentary Journal, a scholarly journal published by the American Institute of Parliamentarians. He is the third Penn State alumnus to hold this position. In 1982, he served as parliamentarian of Penn State’s Student Government Association.
1990s
Jackie Atherton Bernard ’90 was elected Judge of the Court of Common Pleas for the 24th Judicial District of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (Blair County).
Troy Campbell ’91 has been named President/CEO of Altoona First Savings Bank in Altoona.
Eric Casanave ’94 has become a shareholder in the ownership of Stiffler McGraw of Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania. He joined Stiffler McGraw’s Municipal Engineering Division in 2012.
Carol Wakefoose Barron ’95 was named president of the North Carolina Healthcare Financial Management Association.
Paul Mohnkern ’97 and his fiancée, Andi Nein, welcomed their second child, a daughter, Emery Reagan Mohnkern, on December 27, 2017, in Weymouth, Massachusetts. She weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces and was 20 inches long.
Angela Knight ’98 welcomed a daughter, Francis Anna Rico, to her family on July 8, 2017.
2000s
Jeremiah Underhill ’00 has been named to the Board of Directors for the Disability Rights Bar Association (DRBA). The DRBA was established to advance and enforce the rights of people with disabilities in all spheres of life through the use of litigation and other legal advocacy strategies and to support, promote, and facilitate the practice of disability rights law. The DRBA helps lawyers and individuals with disabilities pursue better cases, make more effective arguments, and understand developments in disability rights law and practice.
Nicole Clapper ’06 and Brian Bettwy, both of Altoona, are engaged to be married. A 2019 wedding is being planned.
Tara DeLecce ’07 received a doctor of philosophy degree on December 12, 2017, from Wayne State University in Detroit. A Penn State Altoona psychology graduate, DeLecce earned a master’s degree with merit in evolutionary psychology at Brunel University in London.
Iain Riley ’07 and Bridget Hunsinger Riley welcomed their son, Colin Thomas Riley, on April 17, 2017. Colin weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces.
Annie Schneider ’09 and Rich Kamrin were united in marriage on October 21, 2017, in Cancun, Mexico. The couple resides in San Mateo, California.
Christopher Tromm ’09 and TommiAnn Church ’12 were united in marriage on August 12, 2017, at First United Methodist Church in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania.
Christine Walk ’09 is the proud grandmother of Kamdyn Peter Venturini, born on October 31, 2017, to parents Karlee and Jesse Venturini. Kamdyn weighed 5 pounds, 10 ounces, and was 19 inches long. Karlee is a Penn State World Campus student and Jesse attends Penn State Altoona. They will graduate in 2018 and 2021, respectively.
Kelly Walter ’09 and Jarryd Burkett are engaged to be married. An August 25 wedding is planned at Gillbrook Farms in Warriors Mark.

Katie Belis ’10 and Scott Lowry were united in marriage on April 29, 2017, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Bellwood, Pennsylvania.
Lauren Creppage ’10 and Nicholas Martynuska were united in marriage on May 13, 2017, at The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in Altoona.
Andrea Fochler ’10 and Zachary Scheck, both of Pittsburgh, were united in marriage on June 2, 2018, at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania.
Monica Nelson ’10 and Nathaniel Kaule, both of Pittsburgh, are engaged to be married. An August 2019 wedding is being planned.
Jordan Pufka ’10 and Jesse Davis, both of Kokhanok, Alaska, are engaged to be married. A July 30 wedding is being planned in Seward, Alaska, with receptions in Madras and Altoona.
Julie Thompson ’10, ’16g and Tyler Pearson ’09, of Rosenberg, Texas, are engaged to be married. The couple first met at Penn State Altoona before completing their degrees at University Park. A July 13, 2018, wedding is planned.
Adam ’11 and Sarah Kennedy ’11 welcomed their daughter, Madison Marie Kennedy, on July 19, 2017, in Upper St. Clair, Pennsylvania. She weighed 6 pounds, 10 ounces and was 19 inches long.
Zach Lonsinger ’11 and Courtney (Dry) Lonsinger ’15 celebrated the birth of their daughter, Kennedy Grace Lonsinger, on October 27, 2017, at 2:45 p.m. Kennedy weighed 7 pounds and was 19.5 inches long.
Chelsey Settimio ’11 and Kyler Roesch ’12, both of Altoona, were wed on May 26, 2018, in Altoona.
Jordan Weiner ’11 and Vanessa Marateo ’12, both of Voorhees, New Jersey, are engaged to be married. A 2019 wedding in Pennsylvania is planned. Weiner is a consultant with Grant Thornton LLP and Marateo is a registered nurse with Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals, both in Philadelphia.
Brother Vincent Yeager, T.O.R. ’11 was ordained to the Diaconate for the Sacred Heart Province of the Third Order Regular of Saint Francis by the Most Rev. Mark Bartchak, Bishop of the Altoona-Johnstown Diocese on Saturday, December. 9, 2017, at the Saint Francis Friary Chapel in Loretto, Pennsylvania. He will continue his studies for the priesthood at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. and will reside at Saint Louis Friary.

Katelyn Cherry ’15 and Matthew Taylor, both of Duncansville, Pennsylvania, were wed on May 11, 2018, in Outer Banks, North Carolina.
Erin Paul ’15 and Matthew Landfried ’14, both of Hampton, Virginia, are engaged to be married. A July wedding is planned at Bree-Z-Acres in Warriors Mark, Pennsylvania.

Joseph Compton ’16, of Altoona, and Sarah Mohammed ’18, of Duncansville, Pennsylvania, are engaged to be married. A July wedding is planned at the Altoona Grand Hotel.
Jacob Frieko ’16 and Lauren Craig, both of Hagerstown, Maryland, are engaged to be married. A September 8 wedding is planned at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Hollidaysburg.
