Pioneer Reunion

Celebrate your Altoona College days!

Pioneer Reunion—this year celebrating the return of alumni who attended Penn State Altoona from its inception in 1939 through 1970—will feature a full schedule of educational and social activities during commencement weekend.

Friday, May 8 to Sunday, May 10, 2020

Social Events

Reunite and reminisce with classmates and college staff at a variety of functions.

Pioneer Induction Reception and Ceremony

Pioneer Alumni will be honored at a ceremony that celebrates their special status. Pioneers who have not been previously honored will receive the unique Pioneer Commemorative Medallion.

Commencement

Alumni will participate in the commencement procession and will be recognized as part of the ceremony on Saturday morning. A WE ARE breakfast prior to commencement will salute the participating alumni and their guests.

Tours

Enjoy walking and bus tours of the college’s Ivyside and Downtown campuses, as well as a memorable tour of several beautifully restored historic Altoona structures, including the Mishler Theatre and Mt. Carmel Church.

Mark your calendar now and plan to attend this special 80th anniversary event. Detailed information including registration materials, a schedule, and hotel accommodations will be available in early 2020.
