Support the 2017 Winter Plunge

The fifth annual Penn State Altoona Alumni Society Winter Plunge set for January 28, 2017, at Canoe Creek State Park is quickly approaching!

The 2017 Winter Plunge benefits two great causes: Penn State Altoona Benefiting THON and Penn State Altoona Alumni Society Student Scholarships and Programming. Since its inception, the Winter Plunge has raised more than $130,000 for the Society’s scholarship program and Penn State Altoona Benefiting THON.

The Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon, affectionately known as THON, is supported annually by a large organized contingent of Penn State Altoona students known as Penn State Altoona Benefiting THON. Over the years, the group has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Four Diamonds Fund at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital. Penn State Altoona Benefiting THON ranked first among the Commonwealth campuses in earnings from 2013–2015 and ranked second last year. This year’s goal is to be #1 again!
