Ashley Schroeder

Ashley Schroeder, a 2005 Penn State Altoona graduate, is in her tenth year of teaching in Ohio. A passionate teacher-author on Teachers Pay Teachers at Schroeder Shenanigans in 2nd, LLC, Ashley visited Penn State Altoona in March to share her experiences in the classroom and as an entrepreneur with elementary education and business students. Ashley served as commencement speaker at Penn State Altoona’s spring 2016 commencement ceremony on May 7, 2016, at the Jaffa Shrine in Altoona.

Ashley recently made a gift to sponsor the upcoming Penn State Altoona Education Conference on August 5 at the Blair County Convention Center, featuring renowned author and founder of the Ron Clark Academy, Ron Clark. Ashley was inspired by her own experiences visiting the Ron Clark Academy and wanted to share his message with other educators and administrators in her hometown. The Ron Clark Academy is a privately-funded institution serving students from across metro Atlanta and is known for its innovative teaching methods and curriculum based on worldwide travel.
