Achievements

David J. Kling ’74, formerly of Altoona, has been selected as the associate administrator for Homeland Security at the United States Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C.

Marty Jo Irvin Stellabotte ’88 is a student at Wartburg Lutheran Theological Seminary, where she is completing her Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree.

David A. Strouse ’03, current District Attorney of Clinton County, Pennsylvania, was appointed by Governor Tom Wolf to the Pennsylvania Commission on Sentencing.

John Spencer ’96, ’98g was appointed the Division Head for Recreation and Parks Department in Ocala, Florida, beginning February 2017. John attended Penn State Altoona and graduated from University Park with a bachelor’s degree in Recreation and Parks Management and a master’s degree in Leisure Studies. John resides in Ocala with his wife, Susan; twins, Patrick and Cora; and daughter Molly.

Richard Weber ’16 has been hired as the fiscal team leader at McCartney’s, Inc. in Altoona.

Summer Siry ’00 and Craig Tomlinson, both of Altoona, are engaged to be married. A June 24 wedding is being planned at Edith Davis Eve Memorial Chapel at Penn State Altoona.

Joshua Wagner ’11 and Rachel Rossi, both of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, are engaged to be married. A June 25 wedding is being planned.

Sgt. Daniel Brandt ’14 and Emily Clancy, both of Altoona, are engaged to be married. An April 29 wedding is being planned at C. Barton McCann School of Art in Petersburg, Pennsylvania.

Nicole Bagley ’16 and Jesse Ickes ’16, both of Altoona, are engaged to be married. A May 6 wedding is being planned at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in Altoona.
