Message from the Director

As another academic year begins, we anticipate a fresh start with the arrival of the Class of 2021—yes, that’s 2021—as they set sail on a new journey here at Penn State Altoona.

I also am embarking on a new adventure. I am extremely humbled and honored to have been given the opportunity and privilege to return home to my alma mater and lead the Penn State Altoona Development and Alumni Relations team. I look forward to working with and meeting as many of you as possible over the coming months.

As we set out on this new voyage together, I would like to invite all of you—our alumni, donors, and friends—to find a way to engage with the Penn State Altoona community. It takes a village, and through all of us working together as a team, we will maximize the impact of your dedication and support to our college.

By working together to enhance and elevate the student experience, the possibilities are endless. Your continued support will allow Penn State Altoona the opportunity for exponential growth through the development of world-class majors and programs, research centers, and facilities. I encourage you to read about the very successful first year of Penn State’s new campaign, A Greater Penn State for 21st Century Excellence, and find out how you can be a part of achieving our goal. Several exciting matching opportunities exist for alumni and friends to multiply the impact of their gifts.

As an alumna, I know the lifelong impact a Penn State education has on an individual and that each Penn Stater has his or her own story to share. As an Altoona native, I also know the pride we all have for our community. I hope you will choose to be a part of our collective effort in giving Penn State Altoona students the best education possible. I ask you to share your story with us at ivylink@psu.edu and use the form below to tell us what kind of events and opportunities you would like to see from us.

We Are,

Beth A. Colledge
