Alumni Society presents $18,500 check to Altoona Benefiting THON

The Penn State Altoona Alumni Society partnered with the student-led group, Penn State Altoona Benefiting THON, for the fifth annual Winter Plunge January 28, 2017, at Canoe Creek State Park. The annual fundraiser raises money for the society’s scholarship program and the Four Diamonds Fund at Penn State Hershey Medical Center.

Since the program’s inception, more than $171,000 has been raised to support the two important causes. This year, the Alumni Society presented Altoona Benefiting THON with a check in the amount of $18,500.
