Achievements

Dick Miller ’70, ’75g is entering his final academic year and will retire in June 2018, after forty years of teaching and research in microbiology as a faculty member at the University of Louisville, School of Medicine.

Deborah Ann Kling Rooney ’70 received the 2017 Service to Society Award from the Penn State College of the Liberal Arts.

Scott Bergstein ’74 has written a book entitled Soul of the Heel, which is available on Amazon.

Donna (Kubitsky) Messner ’81 was recognized as the Wise Women of Blair County 2017 Tribute Honoree for Education on April 19, 2017, at The Casino at Lakemont Park in Altoona.

Engagements

Austin Lambert ’10 and Emma Dubois, of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, are engaged to be married. A September 23 wedding is being planned in Dallastown.

Natalie Colabove ’16 and Matthew Miller are engaged to be married. A June 10 wedding at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Altoona is being planned.

Weddings

Michael Martynuska ’12 and Lyndsay Neugebauer, of Altoona, were united in marriage October 1, 2016, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Altoona.

Joseph DeFrancesco ’14 and Jorden Mousaw were united in marriage on January 7, 2017, at First Presbyterian Church in Tyrone, Pennsylvania. The couple resides in Tyrone.
