The mission of the Mrs. Pennsylvania America pageant is to “recognize beautiful married women, living within the state of Pennsylvania, who have obtained personal, professional, and community achievements.” The pageant is an official preliminary pageant to Mrs. America and Mrs. World. Roxy’s Mrs. Pennsylvania America pageant sponsors include Bayada Hospice, S.W. Basics, and Cove Haven Entertainment Resorts.

Roxy is no stranger to pageantry or media. In her early teens she won her first title as Miss Junior Teen Newark, New Jersey, in 1998 and won a scholarship to Barbizon Modeling School in New York City, and in 2003, she won the title of Miss Caribbean United States. Roxy has appeared in a variety of reality television programs, including Survivor: Philippines on CBS.

As Mrs. Pike County Pennsylvania 2017, Roxy has been an advocate for The Headstrong Project and Young Life Tri-States, helping to raise money for the organizations. “I am incredibly elated to be competing for the Mrs. Pennsylvania America 2017 title as it has given me the opportunity to shed light on an often neglected part of life. My hope is to partner with the Mrs. America organization to help both children and adults alike, redefine how they see themselves. Self-identity can be shaped by courage rather than defeat,” said Roxy.

Roxy is a United State Army Reserve Chaplain and a clinical chaplain at St. Luke’s Hospice in Bethlehem and East Stroudsburg. She earned bachelor of arts degrees in Theatre and African American studies from Penn State. A graduate of Alliance Theological Seminary, Roxy is currently pursuing a doctoral degree at Nyack College and is an adjunct professor at a Christian university where she teaches nursing students about spiritual and ethical decision-making in healthcare. Additionally, she has a growing business as a wedding officiant in the Eastern Pennsylvania area called Married By Rev Roxy.

Her military training and education includes special assignments, including a practicum at West Point’s United States Military Academy and The Walter Reed Army Medical Center. She is an ordained minister and a member of the Pennsylvania Society of Chaplains.

Roxy and her husband, Joshua, a pastor, reside in Tamiment, Pennsylvania, with their daughter, Hunter. The family proudly lives by the motto, “Ministry is our life!” Roxy added, “It would be an honor to serve as Mrs. Pennsylvania while being an active service member in the United States Army Reserve.”
