Achievement

Phil Tsang ’96 was hired by R2 Space, a commercial space company, as its first employee. R2 Space will be launching satellites for Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) collection, downlinks, and data services. This includes spacecraft and sensor developments, airborne tests, mission command and control, direct downlinks, data processing to form imagery, and serving the data via various cloud vendors, e.g., AWS and Google.

Weddings

Jacob Frieko ’16 and Lauren Craig were united in marriage on September 8, 2018, at St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania. The couple resides in Hagerstown, Maryland.

Julie Thompson ’10, ’16g and Tyler Pearson ’09, of Rosenberg, Texas, were united in marriage on July 13, 2018. The couple first met at Penn State Altoona before completing their degrees at University Park.
