The Alumni Society’s fourth annual Community for Kids (CFK) Golf Tournament, was held Friday, June 29, 2018, and raised more than $22,000 to support its three beneficiaries—the Center for Child Justice, Blair County’s children’s advocacy center; Penn State Altoona Intercollegiate Athletics; and the Alumni Society Scholarship Fund.

In addition to raising money for scholarships, Penn State affiliate groups also raise money to support other initiatives, such as THON and community organizations. The Fundraising Award was designed to recognize affiliate groups for their exceptional fundraising efforts outside of scholarships. The Alumni Association’s Alumni Council Awards Committee administers the awards program.

To date, more than $62,000 has been raised by the tournament. Next year’s tournament will be held again at Sinking Valley Country Club on Friday, June 28, 2019. To learn more about the event, visit the website.
