Former Penn State and NFL players to headline Community for Kids Golf Tournament

The Penn State Altoona Alumni Society will host the third annual Community for Kids Golf Tournament Friday, July 21, 2017, at Sinking Valley Country Club in Altoona. The tournament will begin at 9 a.m. with breakfast and registration at 8 a.m. The presenting sponsor is J.C. Orr & Son, Inc.

Individual golf registration is $125 and includes breakfast, the tournament, and post-tournament lunch and awards reception. Each participant also receives a ticket to the Tee It Up Reception on Thursday, July 20 at The Blairmont Club in Hollidaysburg. The Tee It Up Reception is open to all alumni and friends, and tickets can be purchased for $40. Special guests include Penn State women’s basketball coach Coquese Washington, who will attend the Tee It Up Reception, and former Nittany Lion football and NFL players Lydell Mitchell and Justin Kurpeikis, who will both take part in the tournament and reception.

Proceeds from the tournament and reception benefit the Blair Country Children’s Advocacy Center, the Penn State Altoona Alumni Society scholarship program, and Penn State Altoona Intercollegiate Athletics.
