Project Overview of the PolyFarm

The team’s mission was to develop a viable solution to protect the agricultural infrastructure from climate induced hazards such as droughts and monsoons for Tsihombe and Ambovombe in southern Madagascar. After much context research, design prototyping, cost analysis calculations, and selection of materials, a solution incorporating vertical farming encased by a polypropylene dome was the best option to provide the most effective and inexpensive protection for crops.
