After creating my personal logo in Adobe Illustrator, I cut my vinyl logo using the vinyl cutter. After the machine cut the vinyl, I removed the background from the logo, leaving just the letters JAH. After I removed the background, I stuck the vinyl logo onto a wood block. The logo sticks to the wood very well, and the logo looks attractive on the wood block. My personal logo is a success, and I am excited to see more places where my personal logo will look good.
Personal Logo | JAH
My personal logo required me to use my skills developed through Adobe Illustrator and my knowledge of Gestalt Theory. My logo was designed heavily on the closer law of grouping. When someone views the artwork, they will notice that all three letters are touching each other two form the illusion of one large object, or one large letter. This was inspired by the FedEx logo, as all letters in this logo are touching each other. The presentation of all the letters touching each other shows creativity and make the design more unique, which makes the logo more recognizable. The logo was also made in a 1 to 1 ratio, which makes it easy to display on any size or platform possible. There are no hidden objects in the logo, it is exactly what it is, the letters JAH touching each other to form a single object.
Personal Logo Iteration
My Personal Logo will still consist of 3 letters joined together to appear as one object, but now I know how I want my design to appear. I want the logo to be a one to one ratio, so I stretched the letters in the “Y” direction (they are now taller). With a one to one ration, my personal logo will appear well on nearly anything. When created the logo, I also experimented with different line weights, but I settled on a semi-bold lien weight.
Black and Red Curves
Black and Red dots were made possible only by the vector art technology of Adobe Illustrator. I did an intense amount of vector editing by mastering the Pen Tool. WIth the pen tool, I am also able to create unique lines and shapes by changing the brush type. The uniqueness of the custom brush shapes makes this work very unique and nearly impossible for one to make an exact replica.

40 Black Dots
40 Blck dots shows how important alignment and precision can be when creating art. Art is not just doing, but it is also applying theory from multiple disciplines to create a masterpiece. Gestalt psychology is all about grouping like items together, which is shown in the artwork in the form of 40 black dots grouped together. Can you notice the one dot out of place?
Rectangles Together Form Person
Rectangles Together Form Person describes exactly what this artwork is showing, a person composed of 15 rectangles put together to resemble the shape of a person. This piece of artwork is very abstract, as the artwork only closely resembles a person. From one point of view, it appears that dominos may be falling. From another point of view, it appears to be a hotdog or hamburger. This artwork shows how even the most basic objects (rectangles) can be positioned in a simple way to create an item.
