Introduction
Hello! I thought that I might start off small with my passion blog since I did not have most of you guys in my class last year. Well, my name is Jaxon and my Passion blog is about my faith and my walk with Christ. This blog is not a way to try to convert people to Christianity, but a way for me to show the different thing that God has for us in our lives. If you decide to take a new step in your life and are considering becoming Christian, I am always here to talk in class, over the phone, or in person.
Today’s blog will be about something that all of us are familiar with. Hypocrisy. And, honestly, I see this is Christianity sometimes. I people who judge others because they are not Christian yet they do the same things that they preach against. The bible says in Mathew 7:5 “You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.” A lot of times we(Christians or Non Christians) will judge someone based off of one mistake or issue that they have to cover up the years and mounds that we are too scared to face. This is not the way to live. Make sure that you are identifying your own mistakes and working to improve them before you try to “help”someone with theirs.
Be Blessed!
I think this is a really interesting subject to write about, it allows both you and the reader to analyze, interpret, and take lessons from something you are passionate about. It gives a lot of insight into your beliefs and what we can take away from them. I enjoyed your ideas on hypocrisy and how we can do better to understand other’s and their situations.
This is a massive issue within Christianity. I hate when a Christian judges sinners but boast about how they are committing adultery or cheating on their partner. Although certain sins are worse than others, it’s all the same at the end of the day. While it is important to understand what is right and wrong, we must also remember to forgive and move on. A lot of times hypocrisy happens when we constantly remind an individual of their sin, even when it has been years.
