Weekly media post #5

Last night on July 30th Yasieg Puig was traded from the Cincinnati Reds to the Cleveland Indians in the middle of the game. This sometimes happens in baseball, but what was different about this situation was that thirty-five minutes after he was traded and still in the game a fight broke out. The Reds including Yasieg Puig rushed the Pittsburg Pirates bench and even though Yasieg Puig got traded he was very involved in the altercation that occurred.

The 2017 Defensive player of the year was traded to the Cleveland Indians as a part of a three-team trade also including the San Diego Padres.  The trade includes right-handed pitcher, Trevor Bauer, to the Reds, outfielder Taylor Trammell to the Padres, and finally, the reds get another outfielder a left-handed pitcher and a third baseman. This was a large trade deal and it was a big deal because of how big Yaieg Puig is in baseball and the media.

The fight occurred at the top of the ninth with two outs and the Pirates were up to eleven to three. It happened when the Reds pitcher was being talked to and someone from the Pirates said something which made the pitcher go over and start fighting and that is when it escalated. Yasieg Puig was given a three-game suspension and the pitcher was given a ten-game suspension.
