Graduate Programs

I am currently Co-head of graduate education in the Department of Biology. Our Ph.D. program is noted for its flexibility; we allow students to tailor their training to their personal needs through flexible class choices and research rotations. Our department is scientifically diverse and a great home for students with broad interests in the life sciences.

I am also a member of two additional graduate programs run by the Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences, Molecular, Cellular and Integrative Biosciences (MCIBS) and Neuroscience (NS). I head the Molecular and Evolutionary Genetics emphasis area in MCIBS. These rotation-based programs attract faculty from relevant departments all across the University and are ideal for students whose interests in potential mentors span departments.
