My name is Jinglan Lou. Welcome to my blog. Here are some facts about me.
I come from Beijing, which is a beautiful city in China. Currently, I am a junior at Penn State and major in public relations at Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications.
I have multiple interests, including photographing, designing, and language learning. At Penn State, I studied French as my third language other than Chinese and English. It was a meaningful experience for me. Although I won’t take French as a minor or a major, I would like to continue learning that in my free time. Other than doing public relations, I like using software to do graphic design and photo editing. I used Adobe Illustrator to design my personal logo, which you could see below on this page. Now, I am learning using Adobe Photoshop and InDesign. There are more designs on my portfolio.
After I finish my bachelor degree, I would like to continue studying at a graduate school to pursue a master degree. For now, I have not decided what I will study for graduate school, but most likely, I would choose graphic design or marketing. For my career plan, I want to work for public relations, especially on beauty products. To be honest, I used to shake my determination of learning public relations, but later I realized, I like communicating and sharing my stories with other people a lot. Even though it is still a hard question for me to define public relations in my perspective, but I would continue discovering it and learning it in my future education and my future career. I like using social media, and I believe social media plays a significant role in public relations, so I would like to focus on doing social media content and management and connect it with the role of public relations. Excited!

Hello, everyone,
My name is Jinglan Lou. I come from Beijing, China. Now, I am a junior at Penn State and major in public relations. I am interested in working on social media and using software to design in the future. Last summer, I got an internship in the digital team at Edelman Company in Beijing. Also, I established an enterprise with my friends. We published articles through WeChat, a social media platform in China. It is helpful to practice writing and managing content on social media. Here are a few facts about me. First, I am responsible. I would finish my work on time with high quality. Second, I am cooperative. I like working with team members and listening to their suggestions. Third, I am hardworking. When there is a hard task, I would like to put my effort in it to achieve the goal.
