Current Research

I am currently working with Prof. Rebekah Dawson projects related to hot and warm Jupiter origins and migration. In particular, we are now working on constraining the high-eccentricity migration theory through statistical analysis of Kepler warm Jupiter candidates.

I have previously worked on projects related to understanding the observational signatures produced by certain channels of giant planet migration (Jackson et al. 2021) and a focused study of the very eccentric Kepler-419b, a warm Jupiter with a puzzling dynamical history (Jackson et al. 2019).

In the future, I hope to continue exploring the phenomena of hot and warm Jupiters through theoretical models, simulations, and radial velocity techniques. If you have any questions about my work or would like to collaborate, please reach out via email (jqj5401 at psu dot edu)!
