Anoop received an MSc in Biotechnology from Mahatma Gandhi University, India, and a PhD in Biotechnology from Madurai Kamaraj University, India. Anoop did post-doctoral work at Purdue University, investigating the structure and function of membrane transporter proteins and transcription factor-DNA complexes. Later, he joined Prof. Murakami’s group at Penn State to study the cryo-EM structure of RNA-polymerase promoter complexes. Anoop joined the Jose lab in 2018, investigating the replication and assembly of BSL-3 viruses for developing antiviral strategies against flaviviruses and SARS-CoV-2. Publications
