About Me

Hi everyone!

My name is Josephine Lee and I live in sunny San Diego, California.

This will be my third semester at Penn State.  I am pursuing a degree in Business focusing on Accounting.  I am a transfer student from SDSU.  I made the decision to put school on hold when I became pregnant with our first child.  SDSU makes it very difficult to return so I chose to transfer.  I was hesitant to apply since I did not know what to expect from online learning.  I was blown away at how well organized the environment was and have enjoyed each course.

I work full time as a financial analyst for a local, non-profit, healthcare system.  I am also on the board of directors for the Healthcare Financial Management Association, San Diego-Imperial chapter.  The titles that give me the most fulfillment are mom and wife.  I am a mom of two very active boys under the age of six and wife of almost ten years.

Outside of work and school I enjoy food, cooking, traveling, and wine.  Being so close to the border, I visit Mexico often and enjoy their amazing gastronomy.  I spend most summer weekends in Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico’s wine country.  My favorite winery at the moment is Hacienda La Lomita and my favorite eatery is Finca Altozano; Yelp them.

Every year we look forward to Thanksgiving.  I host and prepare the menu with my husband and brother.  This year we had a wine pairing with each course.  It felt great to share delicious food with newly discovered wines.  A great experience all-around.

I look forward to getting to know each of you.  Good luck to all of you this semester!
