On June 18, 2018 the famous 20 year old rapper XXXTentacion (also known as X) was shot and killed. The incident took place at Deerfield Beach Florida outside of a motor sports shop. At first many rumors were going around how he died and if in fact he actually did die. Many people thought this all could be a stunt in order for him to gain more popularity and make more money. Later it would be confirmed that he has in fact passed away. XXXTentacion would leave behind a complicated past, but many people would say that he is leaving behind a legacy of great music.

The death of XXXTentacion has caused people all over the world to have mixed emotions. This is due to the fact of his messy past. X has had many allegations against him for beating up the women who is pregnant with his child, using homophobic slurs, and admitting to beating up a homosexual male in jail, because “he was staring at me funny”. Due to the allegations and things that he admitted to, many people do not feel sorry about his death and some people even said that he deserved to die. In my opinion no one ever deserves to die, but I do believe that there should be consequences for someone who breaks the law.

Even though many people think that XXXTentacion’s music isn’t good, that isn’t what iTunes top 100 hits says. Currently he is holding the number six spot on the top 100 hits with the song “SAD!” With this being said it is obvious that his music has had an impact on people all over the world and it continues to even after his death. With all the money he continues to make even after his death many people are wondering where this money is going since he is not alive to collect it. At this moment it is unknown exactly how all of his money and belongs are going to be divided up.

XXXTentacion’s attorney Bob Celestin has been speaking on behalf of his client X. Bob Celestin has only said positive things about his client and has a lot to tell people about how XXXTentacion’s legacy is not going to die. In fact X has his own charity that he started himself. They recently held an event call the Helping Hand Charity Event. This event helped to feed around a thousand homeless people. With the death of X many people wonder if his charity will end due to the fact of his death, but his attorney said that X’s mother is going to take over his charity and continue to spread love and happiness just like her son did.

With the death of such a controversial rap artist there is of course going to be many different opinions. Whether you have a positive or negative opinion on XXXTentacion and his music or the choices he made throughout life, you can not deny that he had a big affect on media and the world of music.
