As summer comes to a close once more, it’s time to look back on everything that’s happened in Spring and Summer 2024. To begin, we have to say a BIG congratulations to the small herd of undergraduates who graduated this spring!
To Carolina O’Reilly, Claire Tse, Allison Brown, Dan McCaffrey, Abby Chalovich, Leeann Runkle, Kayla Myers, Hannah Miller, and Andriana Blanco – we are all very proud of you and look forward to all you accomplish going forward!
Dan will be starting his master program in the fall while Adriana will be at Georgian Tech for her PhD. Claire is beginning medical school down at Hershey, and Caroline is continuing her work in industry that she began as an intern. The others are going off to do cool things too! (we just don’t have the details)
While they were here, Claire and Leeann completed Schreyer’s Honors Theses, and Adriana finished here Millennium Scholars program with a capstone project. All in all, the spring was very busy for our undergrads!

This summer was also eventful, with Andrea, Gabi, and Elizabeth traveling to Daegu, South Korea to present their talks at World Biomaterial’s Congress, the international meeting for all of the world’s biomaterials societies. Everyone did great with their presentations, even with the intense jet lag!
