Scavenger Hunt… in the library?

Beautiful Penn State library landscape.

On September 11th and 12th the Pattee and Paterno library held an open house.  Instead of just having the usual individual student led tours around the immense building, the librarians planned out a complex scavenger hunt.  This enabled the students (mostly freshman), to learn about all of the rooms in the building in a unique and fun way.  Although the open house was mandatory for my English class, I definitely would have joined in on the fun regardless.  The trail led us to the tech. center, the group study rooms, the movie theatre, and the amazingly large business library.  This activity was very beneficial, and you should definitely go, but first, “you must accept the scavenger hunt mission,” as the welcoming librarian said.
