The Weeknd and His Mustache Announce New Album - Rolling Stone

Kiss Land (2013):

The Weeknd's Best Albums, Ranked: 'Kiss Land' to 'After Hours' to 'House of Balloons' | Complex

Number of songs: 12 songs (1 hour 5 minutes)

Personal Rankings: Only Ranking Songs Not Interludes

1.) Live For: This song was the best song I don’t really have much to say.

2.) Adaption: I still play this song constantly this was when he was starting to do heavy drugs and you can tell because his music really hit

3.) Pretty:This song was his seduction tactic

4.) Kiss Land

5.) Wanderlust

6.) The Town

7.) Tears in the Rain:

8.) Odd look:

9.) Belong to the World

10.) Love in the Sky

11.) Professional

Beauty Behind The Madness (2015):

Album Review: The Weeknd - Beauty Behind the Madness | Consequence of Sound

Number of songs:14 (1 Hour 5 minutes)

Personal Rankings: Only Ranking Songs Not Interludes

1.) The Hills: Do I need to say anything. THE VIDEO ALONE.

2.) Acquainted: This song is scandalous but so is majority of the music he makes. He did what had to be done. The number of Kylie Jenner edits I saw for this song was sickening

3.) In The Night: The beginning of this song lets you know that it is going to make you dance. The line ” I know that she’s capable of anything it’s RIVETING” should go down in history.

4.) Prisoner: Her Voice that is all I can say. Him and Lana Del Rey. NAME A BETTER DUO I WILL WAIT.

5.) As You Are: He said I will love you even if your broken and my heart skipped a beat.

6.) Angel: This song is very underrated not enough appreciation for it which is said because i play it constantly. Abel basically said I am emotionless and you deserve better

7.) Shameless

8.) Real Life

9.) Often

10.) Can’t Feel My Face

11.) Earn it

12.) Dark Times

13.) Tell Your Friends

14.) Losers

Starboy (2016):

Starboy (album) - Wikipedia

Number of songs:18 (1 hour 8 minutes)

Personal Rankings: Only Ranking Songs Not Interludes

1.) Starboy: If you don’t know this song word for word what were you doing in 2016 seriously.

2.) Die For You: Wedding Anthem.

3.) Party Monster: This song is a trip. Literally makes me sway and want to try drugs to be blunt.

4.) Attention: The lyrics made me feel bad for Bella Hadid however the song is so catchy. He said I only use you for sexual pleasures and your an attention whore,

5.) I Feel It Coming: When him and daft punk collabs it is simply amazing

6.) Reminder: Cocky Anthem for him he really said platinum of a mixtape do you know who your dealing with

7.) Secrets: The music video is basically an unsponsored H and M ad but the song slaps

8.) Sidewalks

9.) Six Feet Under

10.) A Lonely Night

11.) True Colors

12.) Nothing Without You

13.) Love To Lay

14.) Ordinary Life

15.) False Alarm

16.) Rockin’

17.) All I Know

After Hours (2020): Deluxe

Album Review: The Weeknd - After Hours | Consequence of Sound

Number of songs: 17 songs (1 hour 5 minutes)

Personal Rankings: Only Ranking Songs Not Interludes

1.) In Your Eyes:  I want this song tattooed on me it puts me in such a good mood despite the context of the lyrics. I really want him to find love again.

2.) Snow Child: This music video and well basically the lyrics show his story of success and fame. Made me cry because I know he has terrible coping habits but know he’s starting to resent his lifestyle. I know Fame is a disease but when affects a person I admire it really makes me realize that it is something I don’t want. The song is sad but meaningful

3. After Hours: This Song is his best Song.

4.) Too Late: This song deserves it’s own movie. The songs instrumental and Lana’s whispering plus ad libs really bring the song to life. This song remind me of Bonnie and Clyde

5.) Blinding Lights: This song reminds of that movie Tron legacy and racing cars which is what I love the most about it. Listening to this song slowed down is heavenly. The music video is amazing it reminds of that scene of the joaquin phoenix’s Joker dancing.

6.) Heartless: This song reminds me of the old Abel it’s always crazy to see how he can jump from being very much in love to a cold hearted man whore. Nevertheless this song is a hit

7.) Alone Again:

8.) Missed You

9.) Until I Bleed Out

10.) Escape From LA

11.) Save Your Tears

12.) Nothing Compares

13.) Hardest To Love

14.) Faith

15.) Scared To Live

16.) Final Lullaby

17.) Repeat After Me

RANKINGS:

1.) After Hours: This album made me proud of him he is finally acknowledging how toxic the Hollywood lifestyle and admitting he wants out. As much as I love this man I love his happiness more so this album made me very concern for him. But back to the music the concept and music videos were very different and refreshing to see from him. As always he has the voice of an angel and can musically do no wrong to my ears. This was undoubtedly his best work and it helped me survive this pandemic.10/10

2.) Starboy: This album was a close second, I said this once and I will say it again every time the Weeknd drops he hits hard. This entire album could be the last thing I listen to and I would be happy. The concept art, music videos and collaborations really fulfilled me 9.5/10

3.) Beauty Behind The Madness: This album literally ran 2015 and everyone knows it every single song was a bop. However this man only gets better as time progresses 9/10.

4.)Kiss Land: I really consider this album a warm up. To me it was not better than his trilogy mixtape but it was not the worst thing I had ever heard. However, I expect more from this man.

I love the Weekend! Even though I enjoy and occasionally listen to his older songs, After Hours is by far my favorite album by him. Like you, In Your Eyes is my favorite song! I also really liked the music video for it.

First off, Blinding Lights is one of my favorite songs and reminds me of life right before COVID. Whenever it comes up in my playlist it automatically improves my mood. I used to be unsure of the Weekend but I really enjoy his sound and what he brings to the music industry today.

I love the Weeknd! There’s just something about him that allows people to be drawn to him. Blinding Lights is definitely one of my favorite songs, but In Your Eyes is a very close second. I loved your description of this song! Can’t wait to read the final review you have in store; I can definitely say my taste in music has improved due to your suggestions.
