SZA: My Wife

Is SZA Single?

SZA born Solána Imani Rowe, is an Louisiana singer and songwriter. She is currently signed to TDE and slowly is making her way back into the music scene. She is known for her big hair, raw voice and being a LIAR. She is a very beautiful and talented woman but she seriously has a lying problem. She said she got a marine bio degree at an Ivy league when she didn’t. She also lied about being allergic to cake and never owning a TV. Pray for her.

1.) Warm Winds: I love Isaiah Rashad so anything with him is automatically a 10, her and Isaiah compliment each other so well but I know we are never going to her them together again I really miss her music like this.

2.) Babylon: I love the way she sings on this and the message about dealing with suicidal thoughts plus the music video is really raw. I am happy to see how much she has changed.

3.) Julia: The 80’s was one of my favorite decades and this song really nails it on the head, the music video was so cute and her vocals/ duality really shined through.

4.) Sweet November: This song made me very worried for her.

5.) Green Mile: This song was really made for a spy movie.

6.) Child’s Play

7.) Omega

8.) Scattered Ring

9.) OR

10.) HiiJack

Number of songs:14 (43 minutes)

1.) Drew Barrymore: This song still hits and when drew barrymore came out in the music video I screeched. The song really hit hard for a lot of people and it’s sad how many girls I met that can relate. The song is about repeatedly being hurt to the point of it causing you to be insecure about yourself. The song is really lovely.

2.) Garden (Say It Like Dat): This song reminds me exactly of the music video I just imagine being in a forest with lots of butterflies. The instrumental is so lovely yet the lyrics are so sad.

3.) Super Model: This song has so many great one liners. But it makes me said that she was begging for a man attention at one point in her life.

4.) Broken Clocks: This song reminds me of my friends and the summer of 2018. We went camping and reenacting the music video for this so it truly holds a special place in my heart. It remind me of adolescence.

5.) Normal Girl: This song really something for black girls and many POC girls could relate to not being the ideal standard. So I will always cherish it.

6.) Love Galore: This is still my favorite collab Travis Scott has ever done and the music video was chefs kiss. I would not expect them to mesh together that well but they do and its magical. Just the way she says love always gets me.

7.) The Weekend: Solange I will never forgive you for the music video. But almost every girl knows this song word for word and you can’t think of the music of  2017 without this song. It was very controversial when released though.

8.) 20 Something

9.) Doves In The Wind

10.) Prom

11.) Pretty Little Birds

12.) Anything

13.) Go Gina

14.) Wavy Interlude

Rankings:

1.)CTRL: NO SKIPS, this album she stepped and it showed 4 years later and the songs still hit. Being on social media around this time was pure gold and almost every few months a song from her goes viral. The album was really a warning for me I never want to experience want SZA went through but she expresses her pain so beautifully.10/10

10/10

2.) Z:This was her fake freckle era and I miss it. I was probably too young to be listening to her music at the time. This album felt so real/raw I felt like she was really showing me her struggles and she kinda became like a protector for me, the album hits hard but isn’t for everyone. 9/10
