To properly celebrate Taylor Swift’s rerelease of Red and the last passion post of the year, I knew I had to have strong coffee to make sure I was able to be energized at midnight to properly celebrate. Naturally, I decided to go Dunkin. This is my favorite shop from all of my passion blogs. While this is a repeat, it is an essential repeat to make sure that I am ending passion posts strong. I knew it was reliable, but I tried a new order to keep it different and interesting.
Having engineering design in Hammond, I am physically across from Dunkin. My gracious teacher could tell our class was half asleep in lecture Thursday and decided to give us ten minutes of free time. Naturally, we made a mass exodus to Dunkin for the caffeine boost. I also needed it to stay up and awake till midnight along with making it through chemistry recitation directly after my engineering lecture.
I decided to get a medium iced coffee with cream, hazelnut, and a shot of espresso. The shot of espresso provided the much-needed boost to survive the day. This is different than my traditional order because I normally get vanilla syrup. Vanilla syrup is a tested syrup that never fails. Personally, it is by far my favorite add in, but I was inspired by Tik-Tok to try the hazelnut drink. While the hazelnut was good, vanilla is much better. Hazelnut radiates more of a fall feeling, which is essential for these dreary days and to cure seasonal depression. The espresso shot made the coffee taste stronger, which I was craving. I do not like black coffee, but a strong coffee with some sort of cream or flavoring is good. Also, running on few hours of sleep, caffeine is essential.
The service was wonderful as always. Lioncash works at this Dunkin, which is convenient for when you make an emergency trip during lecture and do not bring your debit card. While Dunkin does not do mobile ordering, they have service down to a system. The line may look intimidating, but it goes by very quickly. We waited for a maximum of five minutes, and our drinks were made as soon as we ordered. A Dunkin on a college campus seems like it would be immediately swamped, but they are aware of this and are very ready for the mass crowd they must face every day. This is further proof that Dunkin is the superior coffee shop compared to Starbucks, for the wait at Starbucks is always way too long for mediocre coffee that is overpriced.
After reading throughout the semester about how much you appreciate Dunkin Doughnuts coffee, I picked some packets up on my trip to the grocery store. I know that it’s not the same thing as in store, but I like having coffee instantly available when I wake up, and cold coffee helps with that. Nevertheless, I feel like I should probably check out the local Dunkin Doughnuts. I’m not a big fan of coffee thats too sweet, so I’ll order accordingly. Great post!
