2 ideas for my “This I Believe”
- You should check up on the people you love
- Family dinners are essential
For my passion blog, I want to keep the same theme as last semester, which is continuing to find my passion. I think it is important I keep that theme because it brings clarity to me and will be a good memory to look back on when I do figure my life out.
2 Civic Issues Ideas
- Access to education
- Equality in school systems
Kaylee you’re back wooooh! Literally the whole class is like new faces. I really liked reading your passion blog last semester, so it’s nice you’re continuing the theme. I also think you’ll have lots of resources and things to explore in regards to focusing on education for your Civic Issues Blog. And lastly, your “This I believe” ideas are pretty solid; Depending on whichever you choose, I think you’ll have plenty to explore. You could pick a specific monumental family dinner or an instance where is was important to check in on the people you love, so it doesn’t get to broad and long-winded
For your “This I Believe”, both ideas have a lot of potential. I would just dig a little deeper (sorry I had to use a cliche) for the family dinners’ idea because I think you can dig out another belief from family dinners. In other words, there is something more behind the family dinners, which I think would be great to explore. I never got to read your passion blog about finding passion, but that is such a fun and almost meta idea, I love it. Lastly, for your civics issues blog, both are fascinating and very timely topics- so whichever you choose I don’t think you’ll have an issue. Just choose the one you are more passionate about, or can write more about to make it a little more fun (and easier) on yourself when writing.
I didn’t get a chance to read your passion blogs last year, but I’m glad I would now! I am excited to see what kinds of things you write about. For the podcast, I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the options but “family dinners are essential” sounds the most interesting to me. Reading about access to education also sounds very interesting, would you write about places in the United States only or on an international scale?
I think your idea about family dinners could be very effective but I would try to connect that to an example. I also did not get a chance to look at your passion blogs from last year but if they worked effectively I would suggest for you to continue those blogs. Last, I think both of your civic issues ideas are effective but I would try to dive more specifically into one of those ideas.
